Rājā kālasya kāraṇam: SuSanskrit is not about teaching or preaching. It is about learning, knowing and exploring our inner abilities, ‘The potentially Divine self’ as referred by Swami Vivekananda. It’s an effort to keep our culture alive in its true sense, to live our life in true spirit, to make sure our next generations gets the right environment to grow and prosper materially and spiritually. 

There is a famous Indian saying ‘Raja Kalaysya Karanam’ meaning it’s the leader who is responsible for today’s state of things. This state is not just the socio economic state or the political situation but also the very way in which the society thinks, in turn how we think as individuals in our day to day life. There was a time when the Raja was answerable to the academia of the society and the academia were not afraid to take decision’s which contributed to the growth of the society in the right direction.. 

Today we are living in the world of capitalism and today’s Rajas have digested the definition of money as wealth and thrown out the cultural & spiritual aspects of wealth, resulting in chaos and anarchy. To see change in our world today a lot is required, but definitely this modern Rajas need to introspect much further. At a same time people in the kingdom means we are also responsible and answerable for today’s world and for the world we will gift to our next generation. 

If we want these Rajas to be answerable, we will have to be answerable, we will need to start inculcating importance of values over money, and right knowledge over materialism. It’s a hard and treacherous process, but to create tomorrows Rajas we will have to pass by the same.

Raja Modi will brings change in India & hopefully other Rajas of the world will learn from him..LOL.

Many times a word Hearing is used instead of Listening when it comes to the Scriptures. Because Scriptures are so potent that simply by Hearing them even if you don’t try to interpret or analyze or understand them still there will be passive positive effects on our mind & senses.

We can follow either the Quran, Bible,Torah, Tripitaka-Buddhism, Agama-Jainism, Guru Granth Sahib-Sikhism, Gita or any other Philosophy which makes sense to us, purifies us, elevates our consciousness and qualifies us to understand God and instill the love of God & his creation. (whichever way we can understand God -- either Personal with many names or Impersonal as an universal consciousness & energy).

Don’t try to understand God by Name, Religion or Depiction (means image, picture...etc) but try to understand him by the Definition through Scriptures. The Transcendental subject of God & his creation cannot be understood by mental speculation. Some times people ask why God is Supreme? It is just like asking why is the circle circular? Just by definition, the circle is circular. Similarly by definition, God is unborn, complete, unlimited, infinite, eternal, the Absolute Truth the source of everything, cause of all causes. 

I see God, besides the above mentioned qualities, as an eternal living person (not a abstract or some kind of light) known by the name KRISHNA meaning one who attracts everyone has also MANY other NAMES, forms, abodes, incarnations, activities, qualities, associates, is full of wisdom, bliss, and the cause of all causes.

Bg 9.17 -- I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support and the grandsire. I am the object of knowledge, the purifier and the syllable oṁ. I am also the Ṛg, the Sāma and the Yajur Vedas.

Bg:13-12:-- Accepting the importance of self-realization; and philosophical search for the Absolute Truth ( God ) – all these I declare to be knowledge, and besides this whatever there may be is ignorance. ( Vedabase.com ).

CONSERVING ENERGY:

                                        

Butterfly 🦋 can fly for long distance after conserving sugar energy, similarly we can fly high & far in spiritual journey with conservation of our material energy.

By nature we are pleasure seeking souls and throughout the life we are in search of pleasures. Every one of us has strong desires to enjoy this world unlimitedly...LOL 🤣. Ancient book Gita says that we earned a particular kind of physical body to fulfill our desires. Just like specific outerwear fits to specific gross body, similarly specific gross body fits to specific kinds of mindset to enjoy this world.

Bg 15.9 — The living entity, thus taking another gross body, obtains a certain type of ear, eye, tongue, nose and sense of touch, which are grouped about the mind. He thus enjoys a particular set of sense objects. 

Naturally people have maximum enjoyment & pleasures while eating delicious 🤤 foods, drinking their favorite drinks 🍷..LOL, sleeping in luxurious bed, recreational activities and meeting opposite sex. By our own experience, intelligence, common sense & observing people around us we know that all these sensually pleasurable activities are short lasting. And also anything in excess is detrimental to our mental & physical health; It can be either too much food, sleep, sex, any kind of recreational activities or even work.....anything too much is not good for us. Worldly mundane pleasures taste like a nectar in the beginning but becomes poison at the end...LOL 😂. 

Bg 6.16 — There is no possibility of one’s becoming a yogī, O Arjuna, if one eats too much or eats too little, sleeps too much or does not sleep enough.

Bg 18.38 — That happiness which is derived from contact of the senses with their objects and which appears like nectar at first but poison at the end.

Eating-Sleeping-Mating & Defending are daily routine activities for any living species but in human life we have chance to evolved further if we think further... 😂. HUMAN LIFE is NEVER MEANT for SENSE GRATIFICATION, but for SELF-REALIZATION.

By absorbing ourselves in sensually pleasurable activities, our mental & physical energy is constantly leaking outward through our mind & senses. When we are walking on Spiritual path we need to save this energy to connect with Divine. Thoughts of Gita will help us to strengthen our mind, sharpen our intelligence, controls our material desires AND thus CONSERVE our ENERGY. We can redirect this energy towards our Spiritual development by practicing Spiritual Yoga, which gives us great satisfaction & plenty of joy.

Bg 18.37 — That which in the beginning may be just like poison but at the end is just like nectar and which awakens one to self-realization is said to be happiness in the mode of goodness.

Bg 4.35 — Having obtained real knowledge from a self-realized soul, you will never fall again into such illusion, for by this knowledge you will see that all living beings are but part of the Supreme, or, in other words, that they are Mine.

Bg 10.9 — The thoughts of My pure devotees dwell in Me, their lives are fully devoted to My service, and they derive great satisfaction and bliss from always enlightening one another and conversing about Me.

With respect to everyone’s values & beliefs, whichever GUIDELINES ( Bible, Quran, Torah, Tripitaka-Buddhism, Agama-Jainism, Guru Granth Sahib-Sikhism, Gita or any other...) METHODS or WAYS work for us is good. 

It is easy to say, but difficult to follow. I am in the same boat with everyone else, or I may even be behind, but thinking in the right direction will help us to go in the right direction.

AUTHORITATIVE in OUR LIFE:

                                        

If we introspect our lives since birth, every one of us during our childhood & teenage lives were constantly protected & guided by our parents & teachers, meaning we accepted them as Authoritarian in our life. Without their supervision & instructions we could have been lost in this world a longtime ago. In our adulthood as a citizen of a nation we are indirectly supervised, instructed and govern by the government. Either we know it or not we must obey the government rules & regulations. Whimsically we can not live a irresponsible crazy life the way we want to live otherwise we will be punished and forced to surrender to the government. 

LOL 😂 😝 😆 TIME. "Even in the marriage life we have to accept someone means WIFE as Authoritative...talking about your marriage life not mine.... to have a smooth & successful journey together."

In short throughout the life directly or indirectly we are accepting someone as Authoritative in our life. Accepting someone as a Authoritative to whom we can trust (our parents, family members, teachers, scientists, technology, textbooks or friends) will be helpful in achieving our goal and also save us some times in searching the facts.  

Similarly there has to be an Authoritative guideline in this world which can give us a deeper understanding about ourselves meaning Spiritual Knowledge, help us to live spiritually conscious lives & reawaken our dormant divine qualities like forgiveness, compassion, and love for all living beings. Yes Scriptures like Gita are the supreme guidelines given by the Supreme Authority of this world, which guide us towards the right path--Path of Duty, Wisdoms, Devotion & Liberation. These guidelines are the eternal truth, it’s meaning does not change with time, places or circumstances and are universally applicable to everyone irrespective of their nationality & religion.

If the higher human mind is not focused toward higher supreme objects, then by default, it will come down to lower mundane objects. With respect to everyone’s values & beliefs, whichever AUTHORITATIVE GUIDELINES ( Bible, Quran, Torah, Tripitaka-Buddhism, Agama-Jainism, Guru Granth Sahib-Sikhism, Gita or any other...) METHODS or WAYS work for us is good. 

Bg 16.23 -- He who discards scriptural injunctions and acts according to his own whims attains neither perfection, nor happiness, nor the supreme destination.

Bg 16.24 -- One should therefore understand what is duty and what is not duty by the regulations of the scriptures. Knowing such rules and regulations, one should act so that he may gradually be elevated.

Recently through family/friends I came across the NDS (New Diet System based on Green Juice & Wholesome food) started by B V Chauhan, Gujarat-India. It is pretty effective in curing some of the chronic diseases & reducing the weight.

Lord Krishna indirectly in the Gita suggests that we can remain healthier & happier by eating a Green Juice or Plant based & Wholesome diet & drinking Water.

Bg 9.26 -- If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water, I will accept it.

Bg 17.8 -- Foods dear to those in the mode of goodness increase the duration of life, purify one’s existence and give strength, health, happiness and satisfaction. Such foods are juicy, fatty, wholesome, and pleasing to the heart.

The purpose of living healthier & longer is to make further advancement on the spiritual path. "HUMAN LIFE is NEVER MEANT for SENSE GRATIFICATION, but for SELF-REALIZATION".

Bg 4.38 -- In this world, there is nothing so sublime and pure as transcendental knowledge. Such knowledge is the mature fruit of all mysticism. And one who has become accomplished in the practice of devotional service enjoys this knowledge within himself in due course of time. (Vedabase.com).

DUTY to DESTINY:

                                       

 

In today’s Blog I have tried my best to explain about your Destiny without any charge...LOL 😂 😝 😆. Duty to Destiny, it is the journey of our Consciousness.  

In our day to day life, by observing the world around us we realize that most of the time we have very little control on things happening around us and absolutely no control on Mother Nature. The only control we have is our passion to take action or perform our Duty (Dharma) in any given situation of life. Everything is moving in this world due to Passion, without passion there is no action. Our passion to take action is influenced by our Material Modes or Consciousness and our Consciousness is influenced by the kind of association & environment we live in.

Our motive or consciousness will affect the result of our action which is defined as a KARMA; our Karma leads us toward our Destiny. Destiny is the reservoir or collection of our Karma which we have performed throughout our life. For example: 1. If parents consciously devote their time in upbringing of their children, they will become good citizens of the nation. On other hand from childhood if we are directed to perform antisocial activities one day we may end up in a jail...LOL 2. From a young age if we consciously pay attention to a healthy life style, we can live healthier & longer....so on and so forth......Good Karma Good Destiny. Through out the life state of our consciousness decides the end result of our actions meaning our Destiny. Thus "Journey of our Consciousness becomes our Destiny".

धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah: If we protect our Duty or Dharma it will protect us vice versa If we destroy our Dharma it will destroy us.

In short everything in our life depends on our Consciousness. The evolution of man is the evolution of his consciousness, and consciousness cannot be evolved unconsciously. In this world nothing happens by chance. Self realization is all about realizing the state of my Consciousness; take necessary action (meaning practicing Spiritual Yoga) to uplift my Consciousness to perform my prescribed duties or responsibilities........and thus change my Destiny.

But remember one thing, we CAN not CHANGE the DESTINY of our BIRTH, AGING & DEATH...TILL WE GET LIBERATED. 😆 

Bg 2.47 -- You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the results of your activities, and never be attached to not doing your duty.

Bg 2.48 -- Perform your duty equipoised, O Arjuna, abandoning all attachment to success or failure. Such equanimity is called yoga.

Bg 18.7 -- Prescribed duties should never be renounced. If one gives up his prescribed duties because of illusion, such renunciation is said to be in the mode of ignorance.

Bg 18.58 -- If you become conscious of Me, you will pass over all the obstacles of conditioned life by My grace. If, however, you do not work in such consciousness but act through false ego, not hearing Me, you will be lost. ( Vedabase.com ).

NOTE:
Many times a word Hearing is used instead of Listening when it comes to the Scriptures. Because Scriptures are so potent that simply by Hearing them even if you don’t try to interpret or analyze or understand them still there will be passive positive effects on our mind & senses.

We can follow either the Quran, Bible,Torah, Tripitaka-Buddhism, Agama-Jainism, Guru Granth Sahib-Sikhism, Gita or any other Philosophy which makes sense to us, purifies us, elevates our consciousness and qualifies us to understand God and instill the love of God & his creation. (whichever way we can understand God -- either Personal with many names or Impersonal as an universal consciousness & energy).

Don’t try to understand God by Name, Religion or Depiction (means image, picture...etc) but try to understand him by the Definition through Scriptures. The Transcendental subject of God & his creation cannot be understood by mental speculation. Some times people ask why God is Supreme? It is just like asking why is the circle circular? Just by definition, the circle is circular. Similarly by definition, God is unborn, complete, unlimited, infinite, eternal, the Absolute Truth the source of everything, cause of all causes. 

I see God, besides the above mentioned qualities, as an eternal living person (not a abstract or some kind of light) known by the name KRISHNA meaning one who attracts everyone has also MANY other NAMES, forms, abodes, incarnations, activities, qualities, associates, is full of wisdom, bliss, and the cause of all causes.

Bg 9.17 -- I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support and the grandsire. I am the object of knowledge, the purifier and the syllable oṁ. I am also the Ṛg, the Sāma and the Yajur Vedas.

Bg:13-12:-- Accepting the importance of self-realization; and philosophical search for the Absolute Truth ( God ) – all these I declare to be knowledge, and besides this whatever there may be is ignorance. ( Vedabase.com ).

MUSIC, SINGING, DANCING & MANTRA:

                                        

Playing a Music, Singing a Song, Singing a Mantra or Listening to them and Dancing, they all are universal languages of healing, soothing & love; which can refresh any Soul on this planet irrespective of their mother tongue.

The purpose of Vedic PHILOSOPHY, YOGA & CHANTING or SINGING a MANTRA are not only about feeling cool or good, but they are also about purification of ourselves to elevate our consciousness AND to understand God, building loving relationships with God & his creations.

There is no difference between the God himself & chanting his name. Every syllable in the Mantra have a divine meaning. For example: In the Hare Krishna Hare Rama Mantra; Krishna means he who attracts everyone, Rama means he who gives pleasure to everyone and Hare means energy of Divine. Like a single letter in a word has no meaning, similarly chanting whimsically any words has no effect.

Mantra Chanting is a form of Active Meditation. It requires discipline, proper posture, speaking, listening, concentration and also finger movements if we use mala-beads. The Mantra when recited softly by an individual is called Japa and when it is recited loudly & heard by others is called Kirtana (means glorifying). Chanting a Mantra together in a group is called Congregational Chanting. SINGING a MANTRA along with the MUSIC & DANCING together on the street is called SANKIRTANA.

Just like Yoga which is nonsectarian and good for everyone, similarly Mantra Mediation is also good for everyone irrespective of the religion or nationality. Whatever Mantra or Method works for us is good. 

Besides Work, healthy Diet, Exercise, Family, Friends & Entertainment let’s make our journey more interesting, energetic & enthusiastic by adding the PHILOSOPHY and MANTRA with MUSIC, SINGING & DANCING in our lives.

Repeatedly hearing/reading & meditating the Scriptures, Eating Sanctified Pure Food and Chanting Vedic Mantras are nourishing to our heart (Soul), transcendental to our consciousness, purifying to our senses and thus helps us to overcome our weaknesses or deficiencies. Yes, we do have good qualities within us but there is always a room for improvement.

SHAASTRAS & SHASTRAS (SCRIPTURES & WEAPONS):

                                       

 

Two days ago 40 innocent Soldiers or Kshatriyas --Protectors of the nation were killed by Terrorists in Pulwama, India 🇮🇳. It is very painful for the family, society & nation to see this kind of horrific event. Let's pray for these soldiers who have sacrificed their lives and may God give strength to their family, society & nation during this difficult times of their lives.

At the present moment, Terrorist activities are happening in every corner of the World. 

How do we protect ourselves? 

We can protect the society by two ways: By Shhastras & Shastras.
1. Shhastras or Scriptures: Implementing & sharing the Spiritual knowledge in which we can instill the godly qualities like love, compassion, kindness, generosity, enthusiasm, morality and humbleness among each other. These qualities can uplift overall Consciousness of the nation & whole planet 🌎. Scriptures will show us how to live & facilitates others to live. This is ideal way to live & protect the society. 

Bg 18.42 -- Peacefulness, self-control, austerity, purity, tolerance, honesty, knowledge, wisdom and religiousness – these are the natural qualities by which the brāhmaṇas (sober person) work. Vedabase.com 

2. Shastras or Weapons: When society is ruled & ruined by the Terrorists or any other Social nuisances, Kshatriyas or Soldiers have to use their Shastras or Weapons to protect the Life, Consciousness & Culture of the Community, Country & Continent AND remove the Terrorism from this planet 🌎.

Bg 16.7 -- Those who are demoniac do not know what is to be done and what is not to be done. Neither cleanliness nor proper behavior nor truth is found in them.

SB 4.14.31 -- All the great saintly sages immediately cried: Kill him! Kill him! He is the most dreadful, sinful person. If he lives, he will certainly turn the whole world into ashes in no time.

Purport:
Saintly persons are generally very kind to all kinds of living entities, but they are not unhappy when a serpent or a scorpion is killed. It is not good for saintly persons to kill, but they are encouraged to kill demons, who are exactly like serpents and scorpions. Vedabase.com

We should protect the society by our Heads (Spiritual Knowledge) & Hands (Weapons), use them wisely according to time, place & circumstances. Kshatriyas or Soldiers of Indian Army 🇮🇳, it is time to use SHASTRAS against Terrorism. We need leaders like Narendrabhai Modi & Adityanath Yogi to protect the India from corruption, crimes & Terrorism. It is time to have another KURUKSHETRA War.

Proud of Indian Army & India AND Proud of American Troops & America (and other nations) to fight against the Terrorism.
