In this modern technological innovative world many of us are suffering from chronic pain , chronic anxieties, , diabetes, hypertension, obesity and many other chronic disease. Many of these diseases are related with our upbringing , life style & environment we live in. Can some of these diseases be preventable or curable with PHILOSOPHICAL wisdom?
If we understand our body & mind, by default they are designed for instance sensual pleasure to enjoy everything available in this world. Basis of our enjoyment like animals or other creatures are mostly in eating, sleeping, mating & recreational activities irrespective of our nationality, culture or religion. Quality & Quantity of our enjoyment are depends on our overall Personality or Consciousness either in Mode of Goodness, Passion or Ignorance.
Person with Mode of Goodness mentality is self contained, self controlled and self satisfied has lesser desire for instant sensual pleasure activities. Happy & satisfied with Spiritual food rather then Material food. In contrary person with Mode of Ignorance personality has unlimited desire and completely absorbed in Eating, Sleeping, Mating & Recreational activities. Instant Sensual Pleasure in Mode of Ignorance which taste like nectar in beginning but ends in poison.
With our common sense, some personal experience and observing people around us we know that anything too much either a food, sleep, recreation activities or even too much work is not good for our mental & physical health. As a human we can understand all these, have capabilities to change our mentality & lifestyle and thus prevent & cure many of the above mentioned chronic diseases.
“PREVENTION is BETTER then CURE. EVOLUTION is BETTER then REVOLUTION”. Of course besides conscious efforts from individual to live healthy life at the time of emergency & many other times we need physician’s guidance & interventions to control & cure the diseases.
I am practicing PM & R stand for Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician. Too me PM & R also means P for Purifying our body & mind, M for Minimizing our bad habits , Maximizing our good habits & R for Re-Creating the Life.
Bg 17.8 — Foods dear to those in the mode of goodness increase the duration of life, purify one’s existence and give strength, health, happiness and satisfaction. Such foods are juicy, fatty, wholesome, and pleasing to the heart.
Bg 18.37 — That which in the beginning may be just like poison but at the end is just like nectar and which awakens one to self-realization is said to be happiness in the mode of goodness.
Bg 18.39 — And that happiness which is blind to self-realization, which is delusion from beginning to end and which arises from sleep, laziness and illusion is said to be of the nature of ignorance.
Bg 6.17 — He who is regulated in his habits of eating, sleeping, recreation and work can mitigate all material pains by practicing the yoga system. ( Vedabase.com ).

Just by definition circle is circular similarly by definition God is unborn, complete, unlimited, infinite, eternal, the Absolute Truth the source of everything, cause of all causes.
I see the God besides above mention qualities as a eternal living person ( not a abstract or some kind of light ) known by name Krishna means who attracts everyone has also MANY other NAMES, form, abode, many incarnation, activities, qualities, associates, full of wisdom, bliss, cause of all causes.
Guns or no Guns violence will remain in society unless we change the culture of society. Of course deprivation of sophisticated weapons like machine guns from the society will definitely make a difference.
WITHOUT SPIRITUALITY in BACKGROUND material entertainment, money, success , fame & power can CREATE a lots of DISTURBANCES & DEGRADATION in the SOCIETY.
Our Mind means Mentality or Consciousness is designed such a way that if we can’t UPGRADE it with Spiritual thoughts then by default It will DEGRADE us. Daily practice of Spiritual Yoga ( Bhakti Yoga ) will gradually diminish our Demonic qualities & our Divinity will shine again.
Bg 15.7 — The living entities in this conditioned world are My eternal fragmental parts. Due to conditioned life, they are struggling very hard with the six senses, which include the mind. ( vedabase.com )
Bg 6.5 — One must deliver himself with the help of his mind, and not degrade himself. The mind is the friend of the conditioned soul, and his enemy as well.

According to Vedanta [summative Vedic techings], the Supreme Lord expands and accompanies each and every living entity in order to guide his/her activities. This is seen in the form of inspiration or a sudden flash of insight experienced by scientists at the time of discovery, and by poets and artists in different circumstances.
Let us consider the example of a spaceship. We make these spaceships and send them out in space with astronauts with some specific plan and purpose. If we look inside the spaceship, we will find that each and every part will have a purpose in the overall working of the spaceship to achieve the objective for which it was designed. Such is the case with all the wonderful planets moving in this vast universe. According to Vedanta, all the different planets and luminaries moving at different speeds and with a variety of facilities and atmospheric conditions are created under the supervision of the Supreme Lord for a definite purpose. Observation of the wonderful intelligence and specialty in the laws of the universe has led many scientists to conceive the divine hand of God behind creation. Newton, whose laws of motion and gravitation gave birth to the age of science, said, “This most beautiful system of the sun, planets and comets could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being.” Similarly, Nicholas Copernicus felt that “the universe has been brought for us by a supremely good and orderly Creator.”
Einstein said about Gita “When I read the Bhagavad-Gita and reflect about how God created this universe everything else seems so superfluous."
Kepler, who gave three famous laws of planetary motion, felt God’s presence in His wondrous variety of creation. At the end of the fifth book on Cosmic Harmony Kepler writes, “I have endeavored to gain for human reason, aided by geometrical calculation, an insight into His way of creation; may the Creator of the heavens themselves, the father of all reason, to whom our mortal senses owe their existence, may He who is himself immortal … keep me in His grace and guard me from reporting anything about His work which cannot be justified before His magnificence or which may misguide our powers of reason, and may He cause us to aspire to the perfection of His works of creation by the dedication of our lives … .” All these above statements of scientists support the role of the Paramatma feature of the Lord in the life of everyone.
Famous Oppenheimer quote from Gita 11.32: Lord Krishna says “Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds”,
Oppenheimer would later say the Gita was one of the books that most shaped his philosophy of life. Oppenheimer also claimed that, “access to the Vedas is the greatest privilege this century may claim over all previous centuries”
Paramatma is the partial expansion of the Supreme Person. This feature of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is responsible for inspiration, discovery, creativity and movement of all living entities. As stated by the Lord in Bhagavad-gita, Bg 15.15 — I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. ( Vedabase.com )
The Theory of Big Vision can answer many of the questions of which one can find no solution in the Big Bang model. Why are there so many different planets and when and how will our universe end? According to Vedantic cosmology, these different planets are created to fulfill different desires of different living beings and our universe is a closed universe, which will end in 155.518 x 10 to the 12 power years. Based on Vedantic cosmology, the Theory of Big Vision further tells us that the present age of the universe is 155.522 x 10 to the 12 power years.

In this world everyone of us are identifying ourselves either by Nationality, or by Religion , or by Color or by Power, Political Party, Position, Prestige...or by Physical body....etc....A DOG 🐕 is also thinking he’s in a prestigious position: “I am Powerful Prestigious Dog, I can bark very loudly...Woof! Woof!”...LOL👻 Similarly if I also think “I am the richest, I am the powerful, I am very intelligent.” Everything, “I am.”then what is the difference between us & Dog ?
Material world means everyone is falsely proud of their position, power or designation. This is the disease....due to Mode of Ignorance. Ego must be there because I am real. I am not a false, my body or any bodily identity is temporary or false...everything finish with the Death.
Vedic aphorism says that my real identity is that “I am an Eternal Soul or Brahman” or “Aham brahmasmi” part & parcel of Para-Brahman or Supreme God. Aham brahmāsmi sometimes mistakenly understood that “I am the Supreme God.” ( whichever way we can understand the God, Form or Formless..or Universal Consciousness or Energy ...etc ).

Bg 9.4 — By Me, in My unmanifested form, this entire universe is pervaded. All beings are in Me, but I am not in them.....means GOD is EVERY WHERE but at a same time EVERYTHING is not GOD..... Example: GOD is in DOG but DOG is NOT a GOD....LOL
Bg 9.5 — And yet everything that is created does not rest in Me. Behold My mystic opulence! Although I am the maintainer of all living entities and although I am everywhere, I am not a part of this cosmic manifestation, for My Self is the very source of creation.
Therefore Bhagavad-gita says, “ahankara-vimudhatma kartaham iti manyate” ( Bg 3.27 )— The spirit soul bewildered by the influence of false ego thinks himself the doer of activities that are in actuality carried out by the three modes of material nature. He is completely under the control of material nature, and he’s thinking falsely that “I am very advanced in many designation”.
Of course only way we can survive & progress in our life if we have Ego or Passion. But at end of the day we need to divert our Material or False Ego for Spiritual Advancement to justify our Human Life & becomes fully Joyful. 😀
Bg 4.35 — Having obtained real knowledge from a self-realized soul, you will never fall again into such illusion, for by this knowledge you will see that all living beings are but part of the Supreme, or, in other words, that they are Mine.
Bg 18.54 — One who is thus transcendentally situated at once realizes the Supreme Brahman and becomes fully joyful. He never laments or desires to have anything. He is equally disposed toward every living entity.
