Sadaputa Das ( Dr. Richard L. Thompson 1947-2008, Ph.D. in Mathematics from Cornell university, NY ) ISKCON, one of the disciples of Srila Prabhupada used to stress this point regularly "It is not enough to just say that the Vedas are right and science is wrong, we must know why? " 

He said there are many fields of study in which extensive evidence supporting the Vedic world view can be gathered. These include archeology, anthropology, history, astronomy, cosmology, molecular biology, evolutionary studies, physics, psychology, neurophysiology, parapsychology, and ufology.

He published many technical papers on the study of the relationship between science and Krishna conscious philosophy, and wrote eight books including Alien Identities and the bestselling Forbidden Archeology.

Lord Brahma says in Sri Brahmā-Samhita: Bs 5.1 -- Kṛṣṇa who is known as Govinda is the Supreme Godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and He is the prime cause of all causes. 

SB 2.10.1 -- Śrī Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: In the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam there are ten divisions of statements regarding the following: the creation of the universe, subcreation, planetary systems, protection by the Lord, the creative impetus, the change of Manus, the science of God, returning home, back to Godhead, liberation, and the summum bonum. God Krishna says in Gita:  

Bg 7.19 -- After many births and deaths, he who is actually in knowledge surrenders unto Me, knowing Me to be the cause of all causes and all that is. Such a great soul is very rare. Vedabase.com

Bg 9.17 -- I am the father of this universe, the mother, the support and the grandsire. I am the object of knowledge, the purifier and the syllable oṁ. I am also the Ṛg, the Sāma and the Yajur Vedas. Vedabase.com

NOTE:
I use the word Hearing instead of Listening when it comes to Scriptures. Because Scriptures are so potent that simply by Hearing them even if you don’t try to interpret or analyze or understand them still there will be passive positive effects on our mind & senses.

We can follow either Quran, Bible, Judaism, Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Gita or any other Philosophy that makes sense to us, purify us , elevate our consciousness and qualify us to understand the God and instill the love for God & his creation. ( whichever way we can understand the God, Form or Formless..or Universal Consciousness or Energy ...etc ).

Don’t try to understand God by Name, Religion & Depiction ( means image, picture...etc ) but try to understand him by Definition through Scriptures. Transcendental subjects of God & his creation can not be understand by mental speculation. Some times people ask why God is Supreme? It is just like asking why circle is circular? Just by definition circle is circular similarly by definition God is unborn, complete, unlimited, infinite, eternal, the Absolute Truth the source of everything, cause of all causes. 

I see the God besides above mention qualities as a eternal living person ( not a abstract or some kind of light ) known by name Krishna means who attracts everyone has also MANY other NAMES, form, abode, many incarnation, activities, qualities, associates, full of wisdom, bliss, cause of all causes.

Bg:13-12:-- Accepting the importance of self-realization; and philosophical search for the Absolute Truth ( God ) – all these I declare to be knowledge, and besides this whatever there may be is ignorance. ( Vedabase.com ).
